TIME

What always interests me in daily life is the concept of time because of its mystification and unknowability due to the lack of human acknowledgment. In my own perspective, time enchants and disgusts me by its fair characters, which includes 2 main rules, none-repetition for everyone who live in the earth and ever-last until the universe evokes again. Therefore, in the performance " time" presenting on last Friday,I attempt to break the rules at a moment.

Furthermore, I chose apple as the performative object not only because I prefer to use the everyday objects in the performance to raise the audience's attention in our daily life (it is an ordinary fruit we enjoy everyday) but also due to the abundant understanding about the apple( someone told me it is related to Adam and Eve in Bible.) Then, I decided to show the how time put its own record on the apples by mixing apples which could conceal the bare pulp by having a bite, the color of which turned darker and darker as time goes by, with the rounded ones, to pile them all up like a hill. Finally I put an apple which has a history of 2 months on the top. Thus, the original task to explore how the time passing at a moment with everyday object is totally fulfilled.

By the way, there's still a shortcoming, which I never expect before in my performance, is that the bitten apple mislead the concept of time to the concept of hurt and abandon, although every piece of performance has multi-understanding reflected by different individuals. As a result, from this experience I begin to realize that it is more efficient to raise the political or moral issues relating an performance in UK because of its concrete argument, while in China, we more admiring a performance by the alchemical perception and symbols, the perspective of which is taking a performance as a whole event.
