what should audience expect from a drama they decided to see 2 months ago?

Yesterday, (oh, it's morning now!) I went to Donmer Warehouse to see a drama called LIFE IS A DREAM. To be honest, I was initially fasinated by the name, which indicated epic interpretion due to the ambiguousity of the concept of dream. Therefore, I made my choice to book the tickets 2 months ago.
Life is a dream origins from an famous old spainish drama , which are now rewritten by Helen Edmundson.
During the performance, it is obvious that the performers, who still try to attract their audience in an classical way , is showing their talent in body training, which I totally admired, than in visual communicating. The only 2 visual spakles in the whole performance were resembling suspending gaint bulbs on top of the stage and the trick that the director interchanged the actor who had already lain on the stage before into another during the interval, which were sucessfully showing how dream differs from everyday life, interpreting a deep concept of nautrality while the rest of the performance was focus on the behaviors of actors. Considering almost all the audience is middle-aged middle-class people who could represent the average audience attending dramas in a high frequency, thourgh my obseversion, I believe what they expect from seeing a play is not only a spectator but also a night dreamer. What we should do is not only to create something complete and strong, but to give them intervals during the dream, which could help them to realize what they are doing at that moment.
